Dedmon Center Natatorium

Facility Overview

The first major addition after the main portion of the Dedmon Center was complete, the Natatorium is home to the Radford Swimming and Diving team.

Completed in 1987, six years after the main building was finished, the facility features an eight-lane olympic-size pool with a diving well.

Built with a fabric roof to match the architecture of the main arena, the Natatorium roof differs in that it is truss supported, not air supported. There is also ample seating for spectators. Athletic Department and Dedmon Center Staff offices overlook the pool.

The facility hosts several meets throughout the year, including all of Radford's home meets, as well as high school and club meets. A state-of-the-art, eight-lane scoreboard was added in the spring of 2006.
