Crotts Paces Highlanders at Blue Ridge Open

BOONE, N.C. –Despite only three Highlander runners taking part in the 2009 Blue Ridge Open, senior
Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va./Craig County) continues to excel.
For the third time in as many races, Crotts has placed in the top-10 and continues to get stronger as the season continues. Crotts’s time of 18:09.45 would have been good for eighth place had the highlanders fielded five runners.
Senior
Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) crossed the finish line with a time of 20:18.34, while freshman
Hannah Scheren (Lovettsville, Va./Loudon Valley) finished with a time of 20:18.34 in the women’s gold 5K.
Radford will return to action on Oct. 2 at the Big South Championship.
