Baseball Fall World Series Set For This Weekend

Radford baseball has announced the dates, times and rosters for this weekend's 2009 Fall World Series, a best-of-three intrasquad tournament to cap the fall season.

The Fall World Series, held this coming Friday through Sunday (Oct. 23-25), will be played at Radford High School field, located at the city recreational center.

Friday, Oct. 23 – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 24 – Noon
Sunday, Oct. 25 – Noon

All three games of the series will be played, regardless of series outcome through two games.

The White team, coached by volunteer assistant Rick Oliveri, is led by senior right-handed starter Aerik Taylor (5-4, 4.90 ERA) an All-Big South selection in 2009, and senior center fielder Tyren Rivers (3 HR, 29 RBIs, 19 SBs).

Guiding the Gray team is assistant coach Allen Rice, and Gray features senior right fielder Reggie Keen (.322, 35 RBIs, 13 SBs) and sophomore middle infielder Brett Mollenhauer (.306, .982 fielding %).
