Doumbe Signs with Men's Basketball During Early Period

RADFORD, Va. – Third-year head coach Brad Greenberg announced Thursday that Masse Doumbe (Le Mans, France / Polk State College) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Radford men’s basketball team in 2010-11.
“Masse Doumbe is a wonderful young man and a talented and versatile forward,” commented Greenberg. “We are excited to announce his signing. Masse plays for Coach Matt Furjanic, a long-time friend and accomplished coach who in previous positions as Head Coach of D-I Robert Morris and Marist, has taken two different schools to the NCAA Tournament. Masse will be ready next fall to step right into major minutes."

Averaged 9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as a freshman… Helped lead the Vikings to the Suncoast Conference Championship and State Tournament a year ago… Through three games this season averaging 18.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, while shooting better than 40-percent from behind the 3-point arc and 80-percent from the charity stripe.
