Profile:
Amy Davis serves as an assistant athletic trainer for RU athletics. She is responsible for covering the sports of volleyball and women’s basketball.
Davis’ duties include practice and game-day athletic training service for student-athletes in her sports. She also travels with each of her assigned teams to ensure the same level of service and standard of care is provided for her athletes on the road.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Davis worked for one year at a high school in Chattanooga, Tenn. where she served as the head trainer for all sports. She then moved to Willamsburg, Va. where she was employed at a physical therapy clinic and high school serving as an exercise specialist and trainer.
A certified athletic trainer, Davis received her Bachelor’s of Science from High Point University in 2000, and her Master’s in Education in 2005 from Virginia Tech. A native of Riner, Va., she currently resides in Radford.
