Profile:

    Phillip Latter enters his second year as assistant cross country and distance coach here at Radford Univserity. Latter, a former distance standout at Big South member UNC Asheville, oversees several aspects of the cross country program and the distance runners for the track team. Including team training and meet management.

    Latter is a 2004 graduate of UNC Asheville where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Sociology. Latter was a two-time member of the Big South All-Academic Team and was named UNCA’s Most Valuable Runner three seasons. In addition to his track and cross county duties, Latter has joined the Masters program for Sociology at Virginia Tech.

    Latter and his new wife Macy reside in Christiansburg, Va.
